Dr. Nagy Kheir, M.D. is a Board Certified Psychiatrist who received his Doctor of Medicine in Psychiatry and Behavioral Neurosciences from Wayne State University in Detroit, Michigan. With over 35 years of practicing medicine, Dr. Kheir is passionate about his career and in creating individualized treatment plans to fit patients’ needs. Dr. Kheir is well-versed in and able to treat a wide-range of psychiatric disorders, but takes special interest in schizophrenia, agitation, aggression, and Substance Use Disorder. Dr. Kheir is licensed to prescribe buprenorphine, Vivitrol, Sublocade, and many other medications to optimize your mental health and promote recovery.

Certified Physician AssistantSherine Awad has been a Certified Physician Assistant for over 20 years. She completed her Bachelor of Science degree in Biology from Lyman Briggs College at Michigan State University. She then went on to earn a Masters of Science in Biology and a Masters of Science in Physician Assistant Studies at Wayne State University. She is certified by the National Commission for Certification of Physician Assistants. Ms Awad has a diverse background having specialized in Hematology Oncology, Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation, Wound Care management, and Psychiatry. She enjoys working closely with patients to provide compassionate and quality care to improve mental health.
Certified Psychiatric-Mental Health Nurse PractitionerJill is a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner. She received her Master’s in Nursing from University of Alabama, Birmingham. She was employed as a Psychiatric Registered Nurse prior to practicing as a Nurse Practitioner. She also served as a Psychiatric Nursing Instructor for five years. Jill has experience in treating children, adolescents, adults, and geriatrics.
Certified Psychiatric-Mental Health Nurse PractitionerLauren received her Masters of Nursing in Science from Wayne State University, Michigan in 2013. Prior to that she received her Bachelor of Science in Nursing at Oakland University, Michigan. Lauren has been practicing as a Board Certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner for nine years, and has been certified through the American Nurses Credentialing Center. Lauren has fifteen years of experience in the mental health field and has worked with individuals amongst all ranges of age and psychiatric conditions. Lauren is compassionate and committed to providing quality, client-centered care.
Certified Psychiatric-Mental Health Nurse PractitionerMelissa Carafelli has over 15 years of experience caring for patients across the lifespan and practice settings, including inpatient & outpatient psychiatry, hospital acute care, and skilled nursing facilities. Melissa graduated with her Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) from South University and went on to receive her Post-Master Certification as a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner from Maryville University.
